I am having problems with my courgettes they grow to about 3 inches and then start rotting at the flower end then fall off. I feed them regularly with a good tomato feed and they have plenty of space to spread out in good soil but, still no success any ideas anyone.

The flowers aren't being pollinated for some reason.

I have been having the same problem despite pollinating them by putting a male flower's pollen directly onto the female flowers. The weather has been very cold and wet here and I don't think that any amount of pollen is going to help.

Wait for warmer weather and then try pollinating them by hand?

Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
