Corkscrew Willows

I've just moved in to a new home. There are 3 Corkscrew Willows in pots at the end of the garden. They are very new. When we moved in one was browning and dropping its leaves. The landlord advised that they where new and needed daily watering. Every night I give them a good water but now the other two are going yellow and dropping leaves. They're all looking very sad. What could be wrong? Please help.

I think they don't like living in pots.

I grew one from a branch I sprayed gold and used as a christmas tree. It rooted in the pot and I planted it out in the garden in Spring. It ended up about 15m tall, but the year after I sold the house, it died from honey fungus.

    Maybe it was  missing me?

A friend of mine has a corkscrew willow growing very well on a hillside in Wales.  It needed trimming and for the first time I had a go last year in the winter.  Looks fab again this year.  Stuck some pieces in a pot and one took really well, and again looks fab in the pot. This was done early spring.  I am having another go now, but wonder if summer might be too warm for it, and helps to make the leaves droopy?  Perhaps put the pots in shade till they recover?
