I would welcome ideas for creating a cut flower border so that I can have a good supply of cut flowers for the house on a tight budget .

i think a suggested list off nice flowers to grow and cut for presents or the house ,maybe the doctors surgery would be a really good idea and maybe the more knowledgeable threaders might give us some advise, im going to follow this one ,i think my partner would love to have a regular supply of cutting flowers and if we can get some i,ll be working on it , like im working on my spelling spell check gave 6 wrong but im working on that toooooo

There are several good articles about cut flowers written by Sarah Raven, I have followed her advice and some of the plants she recommends have proved successful for me. Cosmos, Dahlias, Sweet Peas and Wallflowers. All can be grown from seed, so quite economical.
