unknown fruit seed

has anyone any idea of what this plant which has grown from an unknown fruit seed planted over a year ago. I just can't figure out what it is but to me its similat to onion plants. There is no bulb as roots which are simply thread like. iI've repotted to see what becomes of it and would be grateful if any member has an idea.

  • Cripes chives having looked at pics of chives yes they certainly seem to be. There is a faint grassy smell which changes slightly when the stems are crushed thanks. What puzzles me is that ive never grown chives and it grew in an indoor pot with an umbrella plant so i can only think its been in the bought compost when ive repotted.

    But if it's chives it should smell more of onion than grass.

    agree, if it smells of grass it probably is.  Poaceae rather that cannabaceaeimage

  • i think i shall keep with the chives opinion for now and see what happens as ive never seen grass like that before but im a pure novice when it comes to plant types.

    If it smells like grass i'd go for a sedge of some type
