That is not nice maybe need to get a spy camera set up to record vandal, some are horrible lot like that don't care maybe just want to destroy things for others

But worth carrying on with gardening as it is enjoyable thing to do with rewards in seeing things grow

So sorry to hear about this but don't let them beat you, gardening is your enjoyment and these are the actions of those who have no joy in their lives. I feel sorry for them really.

As a side note you could try putting CCTV signs up even if there're no cameras, or intentions of them, but it might be enough to make them think twice.
  • I get a few drunks and druggies passing my gate to the estate down the road and put plastic cameras up high where they were visible but out of reach. £1 each at a boot sale.

Don't let the police (overburdened) forget this and get the community bobbies to agree a schedule of action with you all. Get their advice and let them know you appreciate it and would like regular meetings. They know who the regular troublemakers are in the area.

Also, if it is a council area, could it be gated at night? Again, publicity is key, plus a charm offensive to coucil officials that won't let them forget the problem.

Very sadily your experience is not isolated. There have been several threads on this forum, where people have been the victims of vandalism. Here are two others..

The person who was trying to impersonate Dove has also posted on the thread about potatoes. His comment there says "...you might ask Jon Cob about that...".

It would seem that there are vandals to be found even on this forum.
