Kilmarnock Willow

I just want to ask a crazy question, is my Kilmarnock Willow changing.

It has kept the original leaves and weeping shape, and also grew new leaves, and shot about 10ft tall, leave look similar to goat willow, but didnt know this was possible. Any one tell me what is happening

The droopy top is grafted onto a Salix caprea rootstock. The rootstock is growing from below the graft. Cut it off before you need a tree surgeon. It will be much quicker and stronger than 'Kilmarnock'
