bulbs in pots
All my bulbs are in pots to be planted in a suitable place when i get round to it.
But.
There's a little iris that would look really unimpressive in the garden but is great in a pot. Would it be better to leave it in the pot for next year (I can give it some food) or when it dies back take it out of the pot and store it in the shed til planting time comes round?

Thanks hollie. I'll leave it as it is.
I can't grow holly hock s here, they get blown about so much but I do love them.
Hi nutcutlet, I had some irises in pots last year and they looked brilliant, much better than the ones I had in the borders. Because of that I have planted many more bulbs in pots and will slot them in to fill gaps or keep them on the patio for impact, either way I win, even if they need lifting at the end of the year, they are in a pot so just bring them indoors.
Hi Dave.
I think really small bulbs look better in pots and I shall grow them like that in the future. Might get less eaten like thatas well
Hi Nut, even some big bulb plants like gladioli can look stunning in a group in the right pot.
Never grown glads, perhaps it's time to try some.
