Strange plant

Can anyone identify this plant that appeared in my garden in a pot that contains a camellia. I have had one suggestion but would welcome a second opinion.

    Possibly one of the persicarias? image A lot of them have darker leaf blotches. 

    Can we have a photo that shows the stems please image

    Yes, it does look like a Persicaria.

    And a very fine black slug too.
