Problem with plums

Hi 2 days a go I had a beautiful  Victoria Plum tree full of young fruit.

Today the leaves and nearly all turned completely brown and the fruit is withering.  I cannot see any aphides on it.

What is it?  I have another healthy Victoria plum tree in the garden and I am frightened it will catch the same thing.

Can anybody help me.

    How old is the tree roughly? It may have been attacked by a fungus or some sort of bacterial infection.

    Could it have been poisoned with weedkiller?

    I see from your profile that you have lost several fruit trees before. Have they all died in the same way? Did they flower well or fruit well and then suddenly decline? If so, it may be honey fungus.
