hi folks

when my delphiniums have finished flowering is it best to cut them down to the ground?

will they come back this year?

if you cut the flower spike right down, but leave the foliage , you'll probably get more flowers, although not as big as the first flush. 

Don't forget to feed them at the same time. Flowering takes a lot of energy.
