Name this plant

Hello!

I've been trying to find out the name of this plant but have had no luck so far. Any help would be very much appreciated!

  • Thanks for the quick reply. I looked white campion up and apparently they are very hairy which is not the case with this plant.

    Looks like phlox by the bud formation.

    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    Yep, definitely soapwort.

    Lovely to see, but very invasive. I started with one small plant, and ended up with it even growing in the cracks between the paving of my patio.image

    It has a sort of rhizomes which just keep growing.
