strawberry tree

I wonder if Anyone can tell me about the strawberry tree? Iplanted it two years ago, up to now it has grown very well , but this year it has started to shed its leaves , after they turned yellow , i understand that it should maintain green foliage all year round, the growth continues upwards , (HELP)

Leaves on evergreen trees live a number of years, but in the end they do die and fall off. Look at a mature Holly and you will find they drop at lot of leaves in summer. Are all the leaves turning yellow or just the older ones? If only the older ones then it is probably old age. If all the leaves ar affected then I think you should firstly consider if the plant is getting too much or too little water. You need to dig at some point into the soil near the tree to check the soil 6 inches to a foot down and see if it is bone dry or sodden.

My strawberry tree has been planted about the same amount of time and has a mixture of yellow and brown leaves which detatch easily from the stem, also fresh light green growth and older dark green leaves...does this sound like yours?

If you are worried you could post some photos of the leavesimage
