Sowing in greenhouse
Im a bit stuck as i am new to gardening. Bought a plastic greenhouse, walk in one, but what do i put in it? Can i sow seeds in propogators with lids on/off? Like Lavender, aqualegia, lettuce, tomatoes, anything really? Spring flowers that come in spring, if i sow spring stuff now in greenhouse wont they pop up to early and die? Can i grow anything i want in a greenhouse now?
Scotland where it gets really cold.

Have a search of the internet. Lots of things can be sown now, especially Biennials such as Wallflowers and Foxgloves and Hardy Perennials like Aquilegia and Eryngium.
Ok will do, i take it not everything can be sown now for next Spring? Have all these seeds from magazines that says i cant sow until March, April time.
Lettuce would be fine now, it grows fast. The Aquilegia should be fine too. A bit late for Tomatoes now, keep those for next March/April.
Thank you, been googling, says anything hardy so will give it a try, what about dianthus? Cant see anything about that?
You can sow aquilegia now but keep it cool in a shady place, it will germinate quickly.
For me, all seed is best sown fresh, no extra heat. But all my plants are hardy, and don't need heat
In the sticks near Peterborough

Thanks guys, ohh Perki i have sweet william seeds, can do them.
Also have wallflower, lobelia, fennel, centaura, livingstone daisy, calendula, viola and godetia, are they ok to sow just now?
What i did sow today was lots of hellebores, aqualegia, globe thistle and scabious.
Do i leave greenhouse flap open?
I would or it will get too hot when the sun is on it, also you will have to keep a regular eye on any seedlings to ensure that they don't dry out, I have found it easier to put seedlings into the shade at this time of the year when the sun is so strong as you can water a pot at 10am and it is bone dry two hours later. I’ve just sown winter and spring cabbage.
Ok Barry can move them all out of the sun and put them back when sun has gone, thank you.
