hello everyone haven't posted for a while but exciting news I've got my allotment at long last. It's been neglected so lots of hard work ahead but am enjoying the challenge and got my hubby involved so some quality time. Everyone is really friendly too. Bought a brazier so starting burning some of the rubbish tonight. My compost binhasnt arrived yet but my lockable storage has so I can keep my tools safe. Absolutely loving it!! Any other gardeners with new allotments? Would love to hear from you! Keeeeep gardening!!!!!!

Great news sounds like you're having a whale of a time. It has always amazed me why allotment societies let plots get so overgrown before they let them out to new tenants, mind you it doesn't take a plot long before it has reverted back to scrub the plot next to mine has thankfully just been rented again but not until the grass reached 3ft high and seeded everywhere. We can't burn anything until october so its composting for us.
