Tulip drying 2015

Good afternoon all ! I am taking advantage of the glorious weather today to dry my tulip bulbs. They were all laid out on a table in the sun and not long ago I discovered my OH has put the parasol over them . They will start to cook and dry up etc was the explanation, grrrr....
Who is right ? Many thanks .
