Hi all i have about 30, 8 inch Hydrangea cuttings all doing very well in my garage well lit and above freezing as advised, now can i put them into the big pots i have ready for them for their first year and keep them in the garage till say this march then position them in the garden or is it too soon to disturb them at all and wait a bit

It is going to be milder from Thursday-I would start getting them used to the big outdoors so if the roots are well established in their current pots then- yes- move them on and perhaps leave outside in the day time to harden off and pop back inside at night especially if really freezing
But they are hardy plants- so do not need spoiling.
When did you take your cuttings Alan? Just wondering how long it would be before mine get roots.
Hydrangeas root pretty easily and can make roots in 2 or 3 weeks.
I'd better look then, took these back in the autumn. Don't know what it is, something from a friend's garden.
nice one mateys thanks for the info on Hydrangeas, tomorrow ill start to pot on and introduce them to the real world on a daily basis, night time back indoors till im sure its too late for frost good luck all

They can stand cold, unless they have been softened up by being protected until now.
