Green soldier stink bug

I have recently discovered a large flat green bug on my fruit trees and bushes, I have identified it via the internet as a green soldier stink bug. Can you please advise me on the control of this pest. Thank you

And unless you are in the USA it is more likely to be an ordinary Shield bug in Britain. Advice is the same though.

As has been said, if you're in the UK it's one of the Shield Bugs and will do no harm - fascinating little creatures - love 'em image

Thank to all for replying, I have seen2 of them on my container apple trees and they was identical to the stink bug photo. If its of no harm to my apples or other fruit bushes then I'm happy to leave it alone. Thanks again...

I have just seen this in my young lettuces. Panicked when I googled to find it....shield bug? Old posts on here say it is harmless, i do hope so, would hate to have to kill it, but if it was going to start eating my garden, i would sadly need to consider it ☹️ Please tell me it won’t?

nobody HAS to kill anything. It's a personal choice to continue killing our wildlife

Do you know what it is @nutcutlet ? I'm not sure what it is to be honest (and l'm not advocating  killing it !)  :)
