Can someone help in naming these two please?
First is a Poppy of some description, but which one????
The shrub is Spiraea, not sure of the species, but bumalda is a possibility.
What are the leaves like on the top picture?
I thought spirea bumalda as well
Think these are orange Welsh poppies and Spirea bumalda 'Goldmound'
Wow , many thanks , here is a side view of the "Poppy" ....who would have thought , Welsh poppies in the Russian countryside
Never realised you could get orange poppies
Orange poppies, that's new to me
Sorry Matty , you asked what the leaves look like....
That doesn't look like any poppy I know
potentilla maybe
Could be, now that I have seen the leaves. Not that I can find any Potentillas exactly like that either.
It looks like Trollius, globe buttercup a lovely plant, likes damp conditions
