Email notifications not working
I am not receiving notifications for threads in the forum that I have subscribed to.
I tried turning them off and then on again but it made no difference. They're not in my spam folder either.
Is anyone else experiencing problems?

What email domain do you use?
It's likely that it's blocking them from coming through all together and you'll need to go into your settings to change that.
I use gmail. I've never had a problem with any other site, which is what made me think it is a problem at the sending side.
Ah, I use Gmail.
But if you say you've never had a problem like this before while using Gmail it might actually be a problem with your Firewall settings. They can be a pain and I've had mine effect Gmail too. I'd check them first.
I don't bother with them any more dominoman. When I requested them I didn't get them, and when I turn them off I frequently get them! I just check the threads I contribute to or I'm interested in, and I scan the first few pages of latest posts and reply where I can.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I don't bother with them either, except for PMs and I get those

Yes - the box below is checked on each thread. Still no joy.
I use several forums and it works everywhere else.
Notifications are so useful. Sometimes I comment on a thread and am really interested to see what others say. But by the time I come back a few days later I don't remember all the things I wanted to check. I'd much rather have an alert to prompt me to visit again.
Is someone at the forum IT team aware of the problem? It sounds like it isn't just me.
Other thing is I feel if I ask a question in a forum, and people take the time to reply, I should thank them for their effort. That means remembering to check each forum because alerts don't work
I get a few totally unexpected alerts, even tho I've not requested them.
Just one of the idiosyncracies of this board
If I want to check responses to comments I've made I go to my username at top right and click on My Posts.

Dominoman, if you go to the main forum page by clicking the forum tab, you will see a green tree with a menu bar under it. On the right there is one called Followed Threads. When you click on this, all the threads you have contributed to are there and you can see which have had recent replies. Much quicker than trawling through the different forum sections
