Ants eggs?

Hello
we have this orchid for over 2 years now, it blossoms beautifully every year but lately we noticed something on its leaf. We observed it for a few minutes and saw ants bringing these things onto orchids leaf. Are these ants eggs? How can we get rid of it? Many thanks for your help.

They look like empty shells of ants eggs to me - probably clearing them out of the nest. Normally, a regular soaking of the pot will get rid of ants but I'm not sure the orchid would like that too much. I would re-pot the orchid and shake off all of the soil/ants nest in the process.
Do you reckon the nest is inside the orchid pot or somewhere else in the house? I probably will repot to get rid of the ants. Is cleaning with water enough or need to disinfect with chemicals to get rid of the ants elsewhere in the kitchen? (The orchid is on kitchen windowsill). Thank you!
