Help with ID

Hi

Please can you anyone identify these? I have planted a lot of new plants in our garden, and can't remember what i planted in this area. I'm not sure if this is a plant i have planted or a weed - but its growing fast and is above waist height on me already.

Thank you for your help

  • Thank you - just looked at some pictures on the internet and Cosmos leaves look the same. I'm sure i didnt buy a cosmos.

Think it must 60 - 80cm high by now

I asked about some very similar unexpected arrivals a week or so ago. They are huge now not yet flowered.  Here's a link to the post - it might help

    Does it smell of anything?

  • No that was one of my first ideas. For some reason i thought i had put an achillea in this spot - but its definitely not an achillea - and whatever it is, its growing fast and starting to take over the flower bed. No sign of flowers yet either

It was fennel that I was thinking about. But no smell no fennel

Could it be love in a mist?

I thought mine were love in the mist but the other suggestion was larkspur and I'll be happy with either.  Can't wait for them to flower now and reveal their true identity image
