salvia armistad

i planted a salvia armistad this year and it has grown really well and is big and healthy but as the flower buds are coming through they are flopping over they look limp, what is happening with it ?

thanks verdun, that is reassuring as i have other salvias (mystic spires and forgotten now
the red one that turns red & white) and the flowers grow upright on those when they come through. when i watered the garden yesterday i watered everything but i avoided the salvias as i had read what you said in a post to someone else about they like dry conditions 
that's the one, i knew it as i started typing and then it was gone
yes i am growing to love them, I bought my first one last year mystic spires and it was beautiful all summer then naively cut it down to the stump at the end of summer and killed it(potted the salvia up but by may it was still dead), did the same with a penestamon wedding bells, but you learn 
i don't have the penstemon anymore but when i bought the two blue salvias i took cuttings this time and so far they look healthy, been in the coke bottle greenhouse for about 4 weeks now.
