Afternoon delight!

Look who came to visit me today!   He was close, so close up on the verandah when I first saw him, busily polishing off gogos (sorry, insects) from my flowers, but by the time I returned with the camera he had gone a bit further afield.   Still, I am delighted to have the photo to remind me.   This is only the third one I have seen.   Such a beautiful bullfinch, isn't he?

    Yes, he's very pretty.image

Got any fruit trees? If he's still around next spring you'll not be admiring him.image

Ooh, Pansyface, is it my apple tree he's after?   Thanks for the warning. image

  • Sadly, a female crashed into our window and died last week. We get hardly any casualties of this sort.
