Climber suggestions needed
in Plants
I would like to plant a climber up the front wall of my house. It will have to be in a pot since the front door opens onto the street. The wall is brick and south facing, getting full sun almost all day - it gets very hot! Any suggestions?

The RHS has some advice on this. A rose would be beautiful.

Trachelospermum jasminoides. An evergreen, twining, plant with shiny leaves, pale yellow green in the spring, some leaves turn scarlet in the autumn, with clusters of fragrant white jasmine like flowers during the summer. Some of the leaves are shed each year. It doesn'tseem to suffer from any plant problems. No pruning needed except for a light thinning out sometimes. I have two, one is the usual green leaved variety and the other has variegated leaves but grows much more slowly and doesn't carry as many flowers.
