Rose ID

JenniBeeJenniBee Posts: 20

Can anyone help? I've long since lost the id for this rose and am wondering if anyone knows what it's called. I want to say James Galway from what I can find on the David Austen site but I'm not sure. I've no idea why it's uploaded upside down, i didn't upload it like that image

Was it a new named rose and can you remember where you got it from?

Jenni , I just saved your pic and then clicked on the image and that brings up a control bar at the bottom of the screen  then you can rotate the pic by using the circular arrows and then save again, that is if you are using Windows image

Jenni you could go back to the garden centre and see if they still have that one

Ahh Dach i'm on a mac but never mind.

Logan, a good idea but in the times i've been back since i've never seen it. Oh well, not to worry, it was just a general enquiry, won't stop me enjoying it image

Hi Jennibee,it isn't James Galway as that is a climber. It certainly looks just like my David Austin Gertrude Jekyll  but take a close look at the Austin listings as there are a few which at first glance look very alike. Whatever, it is a beautiful rose and you must be very proud of it, a real prizewinner. Any local shows coming up in your area???

Have to admit it looks like my Gertrude Jekyll too. How high is it currently and roughly how many flower buds per stem?
