Does anyone recognise this flower which recently appeared in my garden? It's about 18 inches tall and is in a shady spot. Unfortunately the blooms were rather short-lived.
If you continuously nip off the spent flower heads and seed pods (just go down the stem a little where the next part of the stem is and nip it off there), they will continue to flower for quite a long time.
This is the seed head...
or you can of course leave it to set seed and then when that seed head finally ripens and opens, you will have them all over the place in no time!
