I like the qualifying use of the word "almost" Hosta. You are an optimist.
I know it survived the ice age , can send roots down 300m , ( yes 3 hundred ) and can push its way through 6 ft of concrete, but leave some hope eh?
You can always make use of it !
1 Great as a pan scrubber as it contains silica.
2 Add to hot water to relieve tired feet.
3 Add to a home-made liquid feed of Comfrey, Nettle ,
