Edited to add: roses aren't hard to grow - whoever told you that? Stuff and nonsense and you've got one for free, probably £15 worth there. There aren't many things prettier than a climbing rose on an old brick wall. Give it a go and see what happens

ok great thanks, im really not keen on Roses tho to be honest........might have to get rid.....
its annoying as i hear Roses are hard to grow, this one is doing great while other plants i do like are struggling here n there......ah well
thanks!
Yes, it's a rose - probably a climber - if you can train the canes outwards rather than upwards - as shown by Paul Zimmerman here http://paulzimmermanroses.com/gardening/training-roses/training-climbing-roses-on-a-trellis/ you should get a lovely display of blooms.
