Thanks for the replies it is the Carex the picture is not to good but it has the same drooping tendrils,I knew it was a grass I bought last year from Gardeners World but I dug it up as it was too invasive for me for a pretty bog standard grass so I potted it for sale this year.

I think it's Carex pendula, a sedge.

I think that's spot on thankyou I could not find a lable and we are selling plants at our garden opening.
Looks more like Iris sibirica or other of that family

Invasive is the word. We've tons of it in the wood near the river, turns it into a 'jungle experience' at times
Totally agree with Dorset,would not even give it away it is far to invasive even though with plumes on it looks good.
I have some and it suits my large wild garden but I wouldn't recommend it for small or tidy gardens
