Problem Cherry Tree
My neighbour has a lovely Cherry Tree whose roots have spread and are now producing trees in my borders and in my lawn and despite trying Roundup Gel on the leaves and stems, they are still sprouting. One has shot up so much it's actually becoming a full grown tree. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can stop this happening and get rid of the trees I now have ( apart from asking the neighbour to remove the tree)!?

The runners are being fed by the tree in your neighbour's garden so using Roundup gel will not get rid of them (and might hurt the tree in large quantities). You can sever the root and then treat the suckers or remove them from the root by tearing them off.
