Ill snowdrop?

My first snowdrop of the year was a rather odd one. Instead of a graceful hanging flower it was upright! Is this plant infected by something or is it just due to some damage to the flower during the growing process. It also had some brown marks at the tips of the flower petals like it had been scorched.

  • Don't panic,  I have a couple coming through like that,  give them time and they will droop as the are supposed to and I guess that the brown marks may be a touch of frost bite,  they are hardy little things so don't worry about them.

I thought so too but it never drooped. It just opened up and then died. I thought it might be frost bite but this happened before the cold snapp. Hopefully it will do better next year.

Damage of some sort seems likely, I've had brown bits when they've been trodden on just as they're coming through.

This is what is happening to mine. Torn petals and some completely gone. We have wood pigeons and they have a reputation for this sort of damage but I haven't caught them at it.
