Organic pelleted poultry manure & container planting

Hi there.
influenced by a special offer last year, I bought 2 tubs of this. I now want to plant up some baskets and containers and am wondering if pelleted chicken manure is appropriate, have read something that suggest the chemical combination might not be correct.
in the past I have used slow release granules like Osmocote or similar and wonder if that's what I SHOULD be using. What do you think?

I use Chicken pellets and Bone-Fish-meal all the time. They are good for green growth, so for trees, shrubs, tropical plants like Musa and other gross feeders like Pumpkin etc.
Bedding I would stick to slow release pellets and a water in fertilser.
I wouldnt use it for tubs and baskets where you want flowers.
Best thing is tomato feed or something high in potash oryou will get loads of green and no flowers.
