Blue tit loves my euphorbia

From the comfort of my summerhouse I have been entertained this afternoon by a blue tit flying between a euphorbia and a nesting box. Does anyone know if it is the seeds the bird is taking from the plant and is he/she feeding the young chicks? Thanks

This afternoon we've been watching a pair of Gt tits in and out of the clematis covering the fence, taking beaks full of aphids back to the nest box image

  • I've just been in the garden to check the plant .... there are whiteflies on the euphorbia. They've been feasting on them all afternoonimage

I watched a sparrow clear all the whitefly very efficiently from a pot of strawberries recently image

i have blue tits nesting with chicks in the box i made them and they are not even eating my greenfly or feeding their chicks with them but flying into my neighbours garden and flying back again all day long, i have loads of really big fat ones if only they would have a look image

  • Haha funny but how annoying. I bet the slugs and snails don't feed on the plants from next door thoughimage

i'm not sure what i'm going to do with regards to slugs/snails for 10 days till green bin collection, i normally put them in there but i cut down half my cordyline yesterday and it is so full there is no point putting them in there as they can just escape, i will have withdrawals from my pyjama wearing torchlight expeditions twice nightly haha

  • I love my garden but have never been out in my nightie picking up slugs/snailsimage. I'm sure there must be 80% that are just under soil or behind/under leaves that I don't bother. I flipping hate them though - they have eaten half of my seedlings out of coldframeimage
