Bees moving into their Hotel?
Was in the garden this morning, I have two East facing bee hotels I made out of mahogany, there were 4-5 bees buzzing around it most of the time, inspecting my handiwork and travelling into some of the holes. Are they setting up residence? I thought they (Mason bees?) moved in at the end of the summer to lay an egg with a supply of honey, then sealed it up.
I managed to get a couple of photos (it was an excuse to try my £10 manual focus lens reverse-mounted to DSLR so makes a great macro lens!) If anyone can ID them?

Great Cheers for the Edd, I thought the eggs stayed safe over winter then pupated the next spring, where will they hibernate, will they come back to my hotel?
