    OP - Was that growing upright or laying down?  It looks like root tendrils on the wood stem/vine.  

    It's not woody nightshade, that leaf often has three lobes (one main and two smaller on each side of the leaf stem).. although the new growth usually looks like one pointed single leaf.  But OP's picture does not show any of the three lobes on the older leaves.
