the second is Tellima grandiflora.

Thank you! I have tried to brighten the photo a little bit so it is clearer. It had a single tall thin flower stem coming from the centre but I snipped it off as it was dead. I'm not sure if this plant is a giant weed!
Tellima very happy in shade and has a nice scent to it Patsy. Seeds about a bit but not hard to control.
That might be a weed Caroline but not convinced. Could be echinops or a few other possiblities. Could you post a photo taken in good light tomorrow. Leaf colour can help in ID
