Spring bulbs

Has anyone else found that their Daffs, and other bulbs are beginning to emerge too early. Will their growth slow down?

Yes and yes. If we get a cold spell they'll stop or slow down and wait for spring to start again.
It's worth going out and scattering wildlife friendly slug pellets about your borders as they do like to munch on new daff shoots and flowers. and slugs will be active in this warm spell too.
Yes, good isn't it. If this continues I'll have 'February Gold' in February instead of March or even April as some years
Cold spell on its way-at the weekend or thereabouts
There tends to be reports of this every year-so when will be "too early" be classed as normal
Some years (not in the last few) we've had no snow til February or sometimes as late as March. I'm still waiting for a winter with none at all. We haven't had any yet this season. Barely any frost either, just a few before Cmas
This from last January

coldest then warmest
We still have a lot of winter to come
Thanks all! must say February gold in February sounds exciting.
Oooo don't like the sounds of those hungry slugs Obelixx.
Thanks for the link sotongeoff.
Around 120 of potential frosty days to go!
Then March was stupid

and that place in Scotland-Aboyne had snow later that week
One thing we can rely on, it'll do what it does and we won't know til a few days in advance what it's going to be. Suits me. If I knew for sure we'd got 120 frosty days to go I'd probably go into a decline.
And snow in April
