Moss in Lawn

batladybatlady Posts: 6

Hi

My lawn is becoming overrun with Moss, I have raked it up to clear what I can. But have never managed to clear it. there is clover but I am happy to leave this as our small tortoise eats it.

So any suggestions as how to clear area (safe for tortoise) and encourage new grass would really be appreciated. My soil is clay after 4 inches down.

Thanks

Use sulphate of iron. It turns it black and kills it almost immediately and it feeds the grass. Available at every GC and shed.
