Can anyone recommend a garden suitable leek , i have not grown any for many years since allotment days
I always grow Musselbrough leeks and get good crops even this year which has been difficult. I have three good rows to see us into next year, as they always stand the winter weather ok.
Thanks very much i see them listed in my seed catalogue jan -feb sowing too
i agree with colin, i dont think that you can beat musselbrough for reliability and taste
I think musselbrough are good too. I grow them every year and get good crops.
I started with Musselburgh many years ago and have left a leek to go to seed each year which gave me lots of plants to transplant into rows. My leeks have just grown better and better eacg year and cost me nothing. They are doing very well this winter enjoying the mild wet weather.
