Are there any conifer experts who can help?

I inherited a tree when I moved in two and a half years ago and I'm debating whether or not to get rid.  It was a bout 5 feet tall but has more or less doubled in size now.  I have already chopped off the lower branches because they interfered with my view across the fields at the back and I'm not sure if I like it enough to keep it.

It's not your average, ordinary fir tree but I'm wondering how tall it will get.  Pictures of the needles, sort of corkscrew effect image

    I'm not an expert but it does look like a bit like Japanese Cedar (Cryptomeria.)

    Thank you.  I love the bonsai one.  Maybe I should just chop the top 9 feet off and see what happens image

    I don't think I want a huge tall tree in that corner of the garden really so I'll get the saw out soon and plant something else there instead.
