I have potted up some carnations and put them in my greenhouse over winter, do i need to water them now and then our can i leave them till spring ie march time
As far as I am aware John, Carnations are hardy. I kept mine outside last winter and they came to no harm. I wouldn't let them dry out in the greenhouse but I would be wary of overwatering anything in the winter season. Good luck with them.

thanks dove but it says on the seed packet that they are half hardy they are loverly thats why i thought i would keep over winter in greenhouse
If they're half-hardy then keep them in the greenhouse and protect from frost - keep the soil dry-ish.
