s it possible to to exchange seeds between Dutch, English and Scottish gardener

in Plants
I know that gardeners in the UK and Scotland grow other plants than we do in the Netherlands. Therefore, the seed of those plants are available here is limited to a number of varieties. I always watch gardeners world and see all the beautiful flowering plants. It make me a little jealous. But we in the Netherlands have plants in the garden that gardeners in the uk and scotland hardly occur. In the Netherlands there are seed swap site such as www.denationale proeftuin.nl. Here you can mutually exchange seeds of native plants that are dying out in the Netherlands and been put on the red list of endangered plants in the wild. Maybe gardeners from the UK also like to trade there to ! I want to apologize for my bad english I hope you understand what I meant to say.

As far as I am aware it is legal to send seeds from anywhere in the EU to anywhere in the Eu, as long as they are not wild collected and restricted by CITES. Check out the Alpine Garden Soc and the Scottish Rock garden sites. They have seed exchanges where things are sent abroad.
Sending to and from America is very different.
This is an interesting subject. I once bought some Ipomoea seeds home from a Spanish garden centre and they didn't thrive at all. I don't expect they liked our soggy climate. Perhaps English bought ones would have done better. Your English is excellent Ellie. I wish I could speak your language even a little!
Within the EU you can send seeds with no problems. If personally taken you can take plants - I have taken plants back from hols no problem.
I have also taken seeds back from Africa and the US to the UK and no one cares. Some states in the US do control what you bring in.
So to answer the question, there is no issue in sending seeds/bulbs etc from Nederlands to the UK/Schottland.
