Hibiscus not flowering

Hi,

I have an Hibiscus in a pot that grows really well and lots of foliage, but I have had it - must be 5yrs, but never had a flower.. any ideas?

I know I had a Wisteria in a pot that didn't flower - until I planted it in a south facing patch than it went mad and is beautiful every year.. maybe same treatment needed?

Hibiscus like sun and good drainage, has it got it and have you fed it ever?

Hi, Yes I do feed it during summer. Its in a container/pot with MP compost. It is in sunny position too. I haven't changed compost - only top dressed..

I'd repot using John Innes No3 compost. Although they like good drainage they do like a drink, give it a feed with a high potash fertilizer (tomato food) around June, they flower late so be prepared to wait a bit.

Thank you very much.. Should I put it into a bigger pot or keep to same size with JI compost? I do use tomato feed.. So I will wait and see..

Have a look at the rootball, if all the roots are on the outside then one size bigger pot, if not keep it in the same pot.
