Your problem plant is likely to be a type of the Oxalis tribe rather than the Trifolium one. If you look at  Wikipedia's entry for Oxalis (look up "bermuda buttercup"), you will see that you are not alone.image

Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
  • Pleased I viewed this threadimage I have what I thought was a three leaved clover with a dark eye on each  .have been wondering what it was and where it came from I possibly got it with a group of seeds/bulbs on an offer from GWMagimage. It was a couple of years ago and this is the first I've noticed theclumps of pretty foliage I will leave them to see what flowers they have. (I can't see them on the Wikipedia pics the nearest lookalike is one with 4 leaf parts not 3)

Primorose, could it be trifolium repens atropurpureum?

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Bob are you kiddingimage is any little 3leaf plant really called TRA  or are you insinuating it could be a weedimage I have certainly nurtured a few in my time image
