The  weather has been surprisingly warm and sunny today and we have just seen the first bats of the year flying round the garden.  They must have been out before now but they are really swooping about this evening.image

Wonderful - we've not seen ours yet - it's still pretty chilly here in Norfolk - but I'll keep my eyes open in the evenings image

One just flew over my head as I walked the dog along the farm track, only one though not the usual crowd as yet

  • I know just how you feel. I saw my little friendly bat recently too. I'm always delighted they have made it though winter.

Mine are back. Lots of pips, no evidence of the long eared yet.

All they need to do now is get into the right bit of roof so they don't fry the babies on the first hot day
