We asked a 100 people

Does anybody know someone who was one of these 100 people that were asked questions on tv quiz shows.I am sure the are all made up,such as Pointless and Family fortunes. These shows can make the numbers up and I am sure they do as there is no proof of them asking people these questions.

A friend of my daughter worked on Pointless as a researcher, They do ask folk: honest.

I have to say, having watched Pointless I feel the name of the show describes it perfectly. An awful lot of effort for not a lot of prize.

Daytime tv is entertainment for the hard of thinking. IMHO

Not really bothered if they did ask anyone, as long as the facts are right, its just a bit of telly for fun image

I'm not really one for daytime TV, but I quite like Pointless, for being pointless. Wouldn't go out of my way to watch it, but if it is on and I'm around to catch the evening news... ...never watched it from the start, usually the last 20 minutes. image

Haven't got a TV, not had one for over 25 years.  Don't have room or time or patience for it.  What I do have is about a zillion obnoxious letters from the TV authorities.

ps bluebells are just opening in the woods, if they are as good this year as the snowdrops have been they will soon be a  carpet of blue.  Followed by the ransomes and hopefully by the Twayblades

We didn't have a TV for about 10 years apart from a tiny one in my son's room. Got one when OH became ill. I realised after I posted the last time I caught 'Pointless' and watched the evening news must have been one day last November. image

Can't remember when I last watched 'Live" TV. Record anything & everything that I might want to watch (including the news & weather) on the SKY box & then sit down & watch when it suits me. I can stop & make a cup of tea when I'm ready and FF through the ads & bits I don't like & rewind bits that are interesting.

Cuts down my viewing time considerably which can only be a good thing image Have still got all of Poldark to watch - am looking forward to it in light of the comments on other threads image

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
