Hi I put my Begonia tubers in trays of compost on a warm windowsill, they are now quite tall, how should i pot them on? what should i do? all help needed, thanks Connie
Individual pots, most of mine are large tubers now so I use 6, 7 or 8 inch pots. Plant them with tuber showing above the compost, just like they are in the seed trays. Dont water direct onto the tuber, either stand in a dish and water from the bottom, or carefully water around the edge of the pot.
When the flower buds start to appear they will benefit from a weekly feed of liquid tomato food.
Dont put them outside yet, much too cold.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
