Viburnum Tinus 'Eve Price'

Hi All,

I planted this Viburnum 'Eve Price' last autumn in a sheltered spot with dappled shade.  I'm now finding that many of the lower leaves have blackened or have holes in them.

Can anyone advise whether this is a pest problem (Viburnum beetle?) or if there is something else going on?

Can't enlarge the pics for a close view but holes will be down to Viburnum beetle.

Cheers nutcutlet.  As it happens the holes are not that bad and certainly not like the doily appearance that seems to be associated with the beetle.  It looks more like something has taken a bite!

It was more the blackness of some leaves which was worrying me (sorry about the photos - this site wont seem to let me upload directly).
