December offers online

I have been trying to order the roses collection and the free peonies as offered in Decembers issue of Gardeners World. As usually happens to me i insert the given web address but can never get onto the relevant site. Has anyone managed to order these offers on line and if so how did you manage it. I would like to avoid having to phone in the order yet again as I would not get the 105 additional discount on offer?

    Hello frensclan,

Thank you for your post. Please accept my apologies for the problems you have experienced accessing the reader offers.

Please be assured that we do test the links before publication to ensure they are working. We have found in the past that usually people experience problems with the offer links for one of two reasons:

    1. They are typing the address in the search engine field (usually to the right of the browser), rather than the web address field (usually on the left)
    2. They are not typing the web address exactly as printed in the magazine – often not including the ‘www’

You should find that clicking the following links will work:

    Peonies - http://www.thompson-morgan.com/gw638
    Roses - http://www.thompson-morgan.com/gw645

If you have any further difficulties, do let me know.

  • Many thanks for this; ordered and now looking forward to the new year when they will arrive.image Perhaps it would make it easier for oldies like myself who are not that hot on the old Internet to have links like this posted on the GW website. I did look before posting but perhaps not in the right place?

  • I would avoid the Peonies...the roots sent to me from T&M earlier this year came to nothing  for me image and I am good at salvaging plants.

T & M usually send good distructionsimage, follow them to a T and you can't go much wrong. I''ve had some ever so tiny seedlings from them and roots which looked dead, so feeling a refund request coming on I followed the distructions to the word and it's been good advice, nice healthy plants several months down the roadimage.

  • Yes I have been getting stuff from them for longer than I can remember ( or care to!) I have had the odd thing arrive a bit the worse for wear over the years ( well only two that I can recall) but have phoned them up and they have readily sent replacements which were fine. Warning about the peonies noted but alas or perhaps hurray; too late as they are already ordered almost to spite the dreadful gardening year up here in north cumbria. image

Reply to frensclan: thanks for the suggestion, I'll add a FAQ/help page for the offers to our list of new content ideas.

  • My gardening magazines were destroyed in flood water.  Does anyone have the current T & M discount code?

  • tried to order the peonies but the checkout wanted to add additional postage taking the total to over £10 so cancelled.  also tried to order the hydrangea on offer the other month and the code was not recognised, so not having much luck with these offers.

I ordered the peonies for my mums memorial garden. I didnt receive my order or my money back. I contacted the company twice by email, i got no responce. then i phoned them up. They wasnt any help. I was told i had my order but could have my money back. Well ive got nothing so far other than extreme disapointment. Never again will i buy the magazines or buy plants online.
