Nettles

I have cleared a bit of ground in November last year at the bottom of my garden which was infested with nettles. Their runners are in overdrive again and they are sprouting everywhere. Can anyone suggest any weed-killer that actually works or any remedy.

Glyphosate ( roundup ) works a treat on nettles but I'd leave them to grow a bit more leaf before using it to maximise leaf area. The tips show signs virtually overnight and the soon die to the root tips.

Thanks Edd and Hostafan for your input.

  • I followed advice on here and made some nettle liquid feed for my garden last year, just to make you feel better, they can be useful, obviously within moderation. image
